I HAD MRS. MARTENEY FOR MANY CLASSES AT AB. SHE WAS A FIRST CLASS LADY. HER CLASSES WERE ALWAYS ORGANIZED AND WONDERFUL TO BE A PART OF. SHE ALWAYS LOOKED LIKE SHE CAME OUT OF A FASHIONED MAGAZINE. I HAVE MANY GOOD MEMORIES OF HER AND APPRECIATE HER HELPING ME TO BECOME A GOOD TEACHER. GOD BLESS ALL OF HER FAMILY.
Bettys gentle spirit and quiet ways impacted the destiny of all who were privileged to know her. She was a Proverbs 31 woman in word and deed. Her legacy is love.
I was honored to be a student of Mrs. Martiney at A-B. She taught me humility and the importance of a strong work ethic. She always encouraged me to do my best. When I received a couple of teaching recognitions, I called her to tell her how much she changed my life. I remember her loving phone call following my dads unexpected death the summer before my student teaching. She called and made sure I had financial support to return and complete my degree. I remember her walking into the classroom as organized as anyone. She gave and received respect. My most cherished moments were her tokens and gifts to students at holiday times. I remember the full course meals she cooked for her students before finals where she invited us into her home for a "family" gathering. May this true educator receive accolades in heaven. Thank you, Mrs. Mart enemy for all you did for me. Peace and blessings.

Dear Bobbie Jo, I had your mother for a Child Development course while attending college at A-B. Im sure it was wonderful being her daughter, as her love for children and educating them were evident in her teaching. Im certain you have many wonderful memories to sustain you at this time of loss.
Bobbie Jo & Larry we were so sorry to hear of the passing of your Mother. I have so many fond memories of her. I always enjoyed my many stays at your home because of your Mom & Dad. They always made me feel so at home. I was always in awe of your Moms intelligence and kindness. I know you all will miss her a lot, but she is with your Dad and her siblings and she will be taken care of. You will see her again! RIP, Mrs. Marteney.
