Steve and Family, We extend our condolences to you folks in the loss of your mother and family member. Virginia was a gracious person, considerate and friendly. Remembering have lunch with her and Charlie a number of time while visiting EORDC. She was proud of her family and dearly loved Charlie. I am so sorry to hear of Aunt Virginia's passing. She always had a smile and will be remembered for her kind and joyous heart. Dear Boyles Family, You were blessed with the most wonderful parents, and now they are together again. I am the one who wrote the "Ode to a Giant Oak" about your Dad, and now will attempt to do a "Ballad of A Mountain Flower" for your mother. Sorry Jim and I were not able to come to Philippi for the service. My mother is quite ill in the hospital, so most of my time this week has been spent in Marietta. Our prayers are with you all. I'm sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. she was a very special lady who touch and guided many people in her life. I'm glad to have been one of those. I have her to credit in part for being an influence in my life who created the attitude and drive to make me successful. who else but your mom would take a bunch of teenage guys who couldn't carry a tune with a bucket and dedicate her time and efforts towards making us better people. I just wanted to let you all know that she touched me in a special way, as I'm sure she has with many others. its just the way she was. GaryP

When my father died a friend said this to me: Remember him with smiles for while he is deserving of your tears of sorrow, he would want to see you remember him with smiles of joy for the good parent he was. Steven, Margie, Jenny and Jane, Please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of your wonderful mother and my beloved musical collegue. Your mom and I shared more that an office at SHS but a companionship I cherish to this day. We shared many wonderful working days and made a great team for a long time.
