Richard "Mickey" Alston Beckwith III, age 30, a resident of Meadow Ln. Philippi passed away unexpectedly on Friday January 21, 2011 in United Hospital Center from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born February 18, 1980 in Chicago, Ill. a son of Richard Alston Beckwith, Jr. and Patricia A. (Spann) Beckwith who resides in Hampton, VA. Also surviving are; Two sons; Patrick Beckwith Richard Webster both of Philippi Three sisters; Naomi Beckwith of Brooklyn, NY Angelique Kaczynski and husband Pete of Champaign, Ill. Alysha Beckwith and husband Jason Kerzisnik of Alexandria, VA. Two brothers; Kyle Beckwith and wife Lisa of Memphis, TN. Khalil Beckwith of Chicago, Ill. Aunt Monique Bodley and husband Derek of Chicago, Ill. Uncle Marvin Spann of Chicago, Ill. In addition several aunts and cousins Richard was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Odessa and Thomas Spann, and paternal Richard and Dorothy Beckwith. Richard was a student at Fairmont State University, and had a great love for aviation. He attended the Teens of Christ Church, and was a Catholic by Faith. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Friday January 28, from 9-10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. at the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. James O'Connor as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
